Looking At The Old PV FB Post

Candida releases powerful poisons as it multiplies, which circulate in the bloodstream causing many symptoms and disorders. Candid can produce a type of false estrogen and thyroid hormone, which leads to hormone imbalance and receptor malfunction. Have you had a thyroid test and they say, "oh it's not your thyroid" even though you have all of the thyroid symptoms? Could it be candida overgrowth?

Candida produces an alcohol called ethanol, which grows rapidly when yeast has a food source such as high blood sugar. Too much ethanol production can cause liver detox function overloading. Excess ethanol can cause symptoms of alcohol intoxication. Yes, even if you do not drink alcohol, you may be struggling with an alcohol addiction. Why do you think so many people are loathe to give up their carbohydrates?

Acetaldehyde is another by-product of Candida. It is related to formaldehyde and causes a variety of malfunctions in the body. Candida can invade a variety of body tissues causing local inflammation. It typically attacks the mouth (thrush), vagina, gastrointestinal tract, urinary tract, prostate gland, skin and finger or toenails. It is also believed that chronic Candida overgrowth in digestive tract is the major cause for leaky gut, which could be one of the main reasons for food allergies. Acetaldehyde can damage organs, disrupt fatty acid oxidation and production of collagen, cause abnormal behavior, memory loss, distorted thinking, mood swings, depression, impaired intellectual functioning, and emotional disturbances.

So what are you supposed to eat to help your body heal during a candida cleanse or long term program?

Fresh vegetables are healthy as they contain a high amount of fiber. Cabbage, turnips, broccoli, asparagus, lettuce, onions, carrots, cucumbers, radish, parsley, cauliflower, etc. should be consumed.

Nuts like cashew, almonds, pecans and pumpkin seeds are also very good to reduce the growth of Candida - and better if soaked first.

Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that help in controlling the overgrowth of the fungus. One must avoid an excessive intake of yogurt as milk products stimulate heavy mucus formation and that can result in more Candida growth.

Proteins are an essential part of Candida diet. Proteins regulate the amount of sugar in the blood and thus indirectly prevent Candida overgrowth. It is difficult to get the same amount of proteins from vegetarian foods as that obtained from non-vegetarian foods. Kidney beans (sprouted), peas, black beans, have a good amount of proteins, but also fish is a great option on the candida diet

Drinking water, herbal teas, fresh vegetable juices and froth is also suggested.

Berries like strawberries, raspberries and blackberries have less amounts of sugar. But these can be consumed ONLY after the yeast overgrowth is under control.

You initially avoid azuki beans, black beans, chickpeas, lima beans, kidney beans, pinto beans and split peas for the duration of the detox phase, which typically lasts three weeks. Green string beans contain fewer carbohydrates than other beans, so they are acceptable for the candida cleanse phase. When you do add in beans, soak them appropriately.

So what does this mostly sound like? Sounds a lot like a Paleo Vegeo Challenge to me... but hey... I think we all already knew we were doing something good for our bodies.
