Visalus Transformation Challenge compared to the Jeunesse Global ZenBodi Challenge

I have a few people that have asked about the differences between the Visalus Transformation Kit and the Jeunesse Global ZenBodi Challenge, and so I wanted to give you all some answers. I think the biggest difference you see upfront is that there is no soy protein it for a good reason. Why US Ambassadors Are Leaving Surfing To Other Options

I don't like to talk bad about companies, especially when I totally adore their products. You'll notice, however that my business tabs have a new (well they are four years old) company listed, and another that is gone away. This "missing" company has really handled a lot of things wrong that I just honestly have tried to live with, but don't think that I can. The last straw outside of the fact that ambassadors that have 30,000 - 60,000 (and being stuck at 60,000 if you weren't Pearl) vacation points have all felt totally screwed ... not only we seemingly had points go missing, emails not returned as well, but we were just told that in order to qualify for these said, "vacation points" you have to be actively recruiting... isn't there something about MLM's and having to sell product at least 70% of the time??

So what about selling the product?

We've lost our ability to retail products in an easy manner, not that we actually made much money on retailing. People do not want to "enroll" to buy a product. Especially not one that for the most part is completely overpriced. But what if you are ordering and on autoship... well as a wholesaler you've lost your wholesale account. If you want the discount you must become an ambassador. And the autoship function seems to be a little glitchy. I personally had my order set for the 25th, but it processed five days early. I have now cancelled my autoshipment.

I also have watched my commission dive over the last few weeks... and no one cancelled their orders. Even this week it started at $68, and ended at $11... it should have gone up, not down. They just moved into the new compensation plan is the only explanation... which personally isn't great. The old plan rocks, but I guess the reason they had to "merge" in the first place was because perhaps (just what I've heard so it's only my opinion)  they couldn't afford the old plan.

So where do you go from here when the company you LOVED seems to be gone?

I joined a new company, several months after as I was starting to hear rumors. They are in global markets, and their products are amazing. Vegan shake... and  undenatured whey for my husband. And you remember the 2MM gel? (2 Minute Miracle Gel)

Super Bowl Kills Your Diet

So many of us are gearing up for the sports day of the year, the Super Bowl. This means parties are happening across the nation. People enjoying more than normal amounts of sugar, carbohydrates, and of course alcohol. The Super Bowl kills your diet, and you think that just a little bit will be okay, but you are wrong. So that means tomorrow many people will be reaching for an aspirin when they wake up because of the effects of the glucose reactions (combined with the gluten reaction) in their systems - which can often cause migraines, headaches, fatigue and muscle soreness. 

But what about all of those folks like myself that cannot take aspirin?? What are we to do? I often take my curcumin supplement for the anti-inflammatory results, but in Asian countries I learned that they use resveratrol to treat headaches. Resveratrol has been see to increase the number of mitochondria in the cell, and it provides energy and protection for your cells and brain. Long term use can help reduce migraines. 

Super Aspirin Substitute

I am allergic to aspirin, and my mom takes a baby aspirin every day. I know at age 45 that I am quickly approaching the age where they recommend it, but I can't. Aspirin is something I can't have. I have been learning more about the Bombshell Jeunesse products and saw that they were using resveratrol for blood thinning/thickening problems. I've used curcumin because it's a blood thinner, but what is the difference in the two. 

Well for so many there is a real need for alternatives to aspirin besides my allergy. There is a full range of aspirin-resistant patients out there. A lot of people don't ever realize that despite taking their baby aspirin they are actually aspirin-resistant and they aren't getting the benefits of aspirin that they thought. Up to 26% of those under age 60 are aspirin-resistant, and over 60 that rises to 45%. And they have found that there is  a significant correlation between aspirin resistance and heart attacks or strokes in patients with stable cardiovascular disease, resulting in an increased risk of death. I have an 8 year old and so I need to live a long, healthy life. So I research all of the time what I can naturally use to help my heart (which has a hole in it) keep strong for many decades to come. 

Resveratrol, in addition to its other cardioprotective properties, is known to inhibit platelet aggregation. Resveratrol is one of a group of compounds that are called phytoalexins. These are produced in plants during times of environmental stress such as microbial (fungal) infection or UV irradiation. It has been suggested that this ability of resveratrol may be responsible for its protection against coronary heart disease. That includes effectively inhibiting aggregation of platelets from patients with aspirin resistance. So I think I will try a month on Reserve and see how I feel. 

Exercise Slows Aging, Study Says it's a FOXO Protein

What are they? FOXO proteins are a subgroup of the Forkhead family of transcription factors. This family is characterized by a conserved DNA-binding domain (the ‘Forkhead box’, or FOX) and comprises more than 100 members in humans, classified from FOXA to FOXR on the basis of sequence similarity. These proteins participate in very diverse functions: for example, FOXE3 is necessary for proper eye
development, while FOXP2 plays a role in language acquisition.

Members of class ‘O’ share the characteristic of being regulated by the insulin/PI3K/Akt signaling pathway. Exercise training significantly increased FOXO3a protein in the heart and FOXO3a in the adipose tissue of aged rats. Exercise training significantly increased FOXO3a protein in the heart and FOXO3a mRNA in adipose tissue of aged rats. In this study they concluded that exercise training, which significantly increases SIRT1 activity, could counteract age-related systems impairment.


So what's originally was found when they studied to see what made yeast age. This lead to the research that they have done on Resveratrol and it's effects on our aging process, and the SIRT1 activity. 

What the newest research shows:

So what I found most interesting in this study is that they have said all along that exercise will fight aging because it increases the FOXO3a protein. But reporting in the Sept. 3 issue of Molecular and Cellular Biology, found that FOXO3a, a transcription factor that regulates gene expression, becomes active when growing cancer cells begin to starve. Their research suggests that this protein then turns on molecular switches that allow the cancer cells to invade surrounding tissues. Resveratrol 'clips' these proteins. MU researchers found that when the cancer was treated with resveratrol alone, 44 percent of the tumor cells were killed.

Stem Cell Technology Becoming A Part of Skin Care

Our stem cells are these amazing cells that can turn into any kind of cell in the body. My best friend is currently going through stem cell therapy for her cancer. But who knew (well I guess Suzanne Somers knew) that stem cells can serve as a repair system for many types of the body.
