Why no soy protein in the JM Ocean Avenue Shakes

Franco answered a very important question tonight on why we aren't using soy protein like so many of these other companies.

NO SOY PROTEIN ADDED TO JM OCEAN AVENUE PRODUCTS WATSOEVER!!! SOY Protein IS A LOW BIOLOGICAL VALUE PROTEIN(<79) WHEYBeyond is (>130-135 BV). Wheybeyond SUPPORTS GLUTATHIONE, soy proteins cannot.

In addition, research demonstrates that LONG TERM overuse of soy protein and soy products can interfere with thyroid function so the immedaite effects of its use may appear to be innocuous but long term use of soy protein could backfire to contribute to thyroid insufficiencies. It can contribute to that diet-rebound effect; that yo-yo dieting syndrome; and even more serious implications if a genetic poredisoition for thyroid insufficiency exists.

The Soy Lecithin in the JM Ocean Avenue WheyBeyond and WAVSmart is also referred to as Phosphatidylcholine. The role of this small inclusion of lipid (fatty substance) is to support dissolving of the powder into liquid. It helps it go into solution and helps create ‘mouth feel’ for the beverage. Soy lecithin is not a protein. Lecithin also supports liver and cardiovascular health. Have a look at the qty in these two amazing whey products we are referring to.

Soy lecithin is included in a qty of about 300 mg per serving (Milligrams).
The protein content from whey is 15,000.0 mg (or 15.0 grams) in a serving size of 20,000.0 mg (20.0 grams).

Soy protein sources can have 15-20 grams of soy protein in them- even as much as 30 grams per serving. Ocean Ave products do not contain soy protein!!! In the Ocean Avenue WheyBeyond and WheySmart, we are referring to a completely different compound from protein. Again, to make it clear....lecitihin is primarily phospholipid; and included in just 300 mg qty per 20 gram serving.......... insignificant as a lipid source.... but significant enough to support PC -phosphatidylcholine- supply for liver and cardiovascular health; and a natural way to optimize texture of the beverage.
