GLP-1 medications can be life-changing for appetite control and metabolic health but they also come with a very real challenge. It’s easier to under-eat protein, fiber, and micronutrients when your hunger is low. And when that happens, people often lose weight… but don’t love how they feel (or how their body composition changes).That’s why I’m a fan of adding in protein shakes, especially plant-based shakes that are formulated specifically to support the most common pain points of lean muscle retention, digestion/gut comfort, and nutrient coverage that anyone losing weight may struggle with, but as well can be a focus of anyone on a medical protocol. 

When glucagon agonists hit those receptors, you can get full fast which is great but it can also mean you may not be consistently hitting protein targets. That matters because protein is one of the biggest levers for:

- preserving lean muscle while losing weight

- supporting satiety (so weight loss feels steadier, not chaotic)

- helping metabolism stay resilient during a calorie deficit

As a personal trainer, I know how important lean muscle is, so I love when someone uses a product like this one which has around 29g of protein per serving from a blend of five plant-based proteins, designed to be more complete than single-source plant protein and intentionally non-whey/non-dairy for a gentler experience. Collagen is a helpful add-on, but it doesn’t replace complete dietary protein. A common GLP-1 complaint is digestive discomfort including fullness, sluggishness, constipation, or unpredictable bloat.

As well with my nutritional education I know how important fiber is in terms of our microbiota and filling full. Any product that includes fiber and also probiotics and digestive enzymes (especially if it's plant-based and gut-friendly & digestible) could be an excellent addition When you find one that is made for GLP-1 users, it may also be beneficial for anyone wanting clean plant-based protein and digestive support.

- support digestion

- keep micronutrients and routine steadier
